Manual Sealers: Single Notch, Double Notch, FrictionCrimp
Single notch sealers cut into the edge of the seal and strap on each side of the seal. This notch can be cut down or up.
Double notch sealers cut two notches into each side of the seal and strap. This type of seal produces joints which are designed to be more efficient than single notch seal joints.
Friction crimp sealers create wave-shaped indentations in the seal and strap without cutting. This type of seal is generally used with non-waxed steel strapping. If waxed strapping is used, a grit seal(s) must be applied. Used where heavy impact or stress is a constraint of the application.
